Expozice nové hudby v roce 2013 nabídne mimořádnou možnost setkání s hudbou v brněnských zahradách, v místech na zahrady proměněných i v koncertních sálech. Světoví i brněnští tvůrci představí své instalace, performance i živé koncerty v zahradách slavných osobností a unikátních vil, ale též v botanické zahradě či v ekozahradě. Součástí budou rovněž mimořádné koncertní programy v Besedním domě a vile Tugendhat, včetně filharmonického koncertu a garden party s volnou improvizací.

Exposition of New Music Gregor Mendel laid the foundations of genetics in Brno, Leoš Janáček lived and composed in Brno, and the luxurious functionalist Villa Tugendhat and its counterpart the Jurkovič House are situated in Brno. A unique arboretum and a botanic garden with an extensive number of glasshouses are located in the centre of Brno, and the well-preserved workers quarters Kamenka and the interactive ecological Open Gardens are to be found in Brno. The Governor’s Garden features an empty music pavilion, and, to the contrary, the garden near the fortification walls flourishes in the vicinity of the former castle reservoir. The 26th Exposition of New Music offers the opportunity not only to see the gardens of important figures, the gardens adjacent to famous villas, the townsman gardens and the brand new gardens; but also to listen to the gardens.
The festival also boasts an exceptional offer of concerts in the Besední dům and the Villa Tugendhat, including philharmonic and choir concerts, a presentation of Brno’s chamber ensembles, and a garden party with free improvisation.
